Abstract
Dealing with a research format that is both transformative and transdisciplinary remains a challenge, also for funders. Based on insights gained from accompanying 14 projects running as real-world laboratories in Baden-Württemberg from 2015 to 2019 - the so-called BaWü Labs, ten recommendations are proposed for funders.
