Abstract
The thesis explores the motif of conversion in the discourse of self in premodern Spain. The thesis is divided in three chapters: Chapter 1: After a theoretical introduction in which we realize a short lexicographical overview of the significations of the concept of 'conversion', we analize it's use in the theory of the autobiographical discourse. Chapter 2: Here we analize five works of 16th and 17th-century Spain by focussing on the narrative function of the motiv of conversion. Chapter 3: Main conclusions.
