the introduction to "Abstraction - Capitalism - Subjectivity. The Trugh-function of the art work in modernity" (München: FInk Verlag 2008) deals with the concept of the art work in modernity, the work as a process of meaning production, the work in the age of industrial production; with the concept of truth in Heidegger, with the problem of the relation to the world of an art work that denies representational relations or obvios semiotic relations of any kind to its world, that is, of the minimalist object; the issue of the tautological presence of these objects; the break with minimalisms orthodoxy since the late sixties.
