Un acercamiento metodológico y empírico al estudio del paisaje lingüístico de Basilea

The present paper proposes the city of Basel as a key point for the study of the linguistic landscape in its relation to the urban landscape. The main objective is to present a corpus for the analysis of the linguistic landscape of Basel based on the study and classification of the signs collected in two neighborhoods of the city with the help of the application Lingscape. To this end, we first reflect on the concept of sign and the importance of taking into account other disciplines, such as urban geography, when studying the linguistic landscape. Secondly, we offer an approach to the city of Basel and define our methodology. Finally, we present our corpus, define its characteristics and offer some first observations and avenues for analysis.
