Abstract
The paper briefly outlines the traceability and occupations of mainly Levantine and Nubian migrants in Egypt during the Middle Kingdom (11st-13th Dynasties, ca. 2070/60-1730/10 BC). This includes two case studies on the tomb of mayor Khnumhotep II in Banī Ḥasan (BH 3) and a painted boukranion from Pan-grave 3252 in Mustagidda.
