Abstract
The present paper presents the Attic pottery found in the Swiss-German excavations at Palaepaphos (Kouklia). It advances some preliminary thoughts on selection and distribution of the imported pottery within the city as well as on its significance. A comparison between its occurrence in religious and domestic contexts clearly shows different ways of appropriation (and use?) of the Attic material in the city, opening thus new questions for the understanding of this import on Cyprus.
