Abstract
Inner coffins dating to the transitional phase of the 22nd to the 25th Dynasties emphasize in various spheres the temporary Osirian status a deceased had to reach to successfully enter the hereafter. Besides inscriptions, which name the deceased as an Osiris (Osiris NN or Osiris n NN), the decoration as well as the shape and material of the coffin itself represent the deceased as an Osirian mummy with divine attributes.
