Abstract
This short paper presents a very well preserved and partly painted Palmyrene funerary bust with inscription, recently acquired by the Antikenmuseum Basel und Sammlung Ludwig (Switzerland), which is, to our knowledge, hitherto unpublished. The headgear of the figure indicates a priest, the inscription mentions his name: ʿgylw (ʿOgelou).
