Die meisten Beiträge dieses Bandes sind überarbeitete Vorträge, die im Rahmen Ringvorlesung „Calvin und die Wirkungen. Glaube gestaltet Gesellschaft“ im Frühjahrssemester 2009 an der Universität Basel gehalten wurden.
