Abstract
The solid-state structure of 4,7-bis(( trimethylsilyl) ethynyl) benzo[c][1,2,5] thiadiazole reveals a dimeric structure with short S center dot center dot center dot N contacts, a motif that is shown to be common in electron-poor macrocycles of this type and that is likely to be a significant factor in the design of devices using materials based on these compounds.
