The contribution highlights the differences in teh legal approach of the European Convention on Human Rights of the Council of Europe, on the one hand, and the law of the European Union, on the other hand, with respect to the issue of legal equality and non-discrimination, with a particular focus on discrimination again LGBTI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual and Intersex) people.
