Die Entstehung der Moral, der Begriff der Moral und das Bild von der Natur des Menschen

In diesem Aufsatz soll Michael Tomasellos Theorie zur Entstehung der Moral rekonstruiert und in den Kontext der Debatte um die Natur des Menschen und den Moralbegriff gestellt werden. Hierbei soll aufgezeigt werden, inwiefern Tomasello einen Begriff der Moral voraussetzt, der die menschliche Kooperationsfähigkeit und die Fähigkeit zu fairem Verhalten als konstitutive Elemente menschlicher Moralpsychologie ins Zentrum rückt. Tomasello beschreibt Verhaltensdispositionen, die egalitäre Kooperationen ermöglichen, als die zentralen Bausteine in der Entstehungsgeschichte der Moral. Dies ist weder in seiner kausal-historischen Rekonstruktion begründet noch ein alternativloser Moralbegriff. Dies ist vor allem deshalb problematisch, weil sich aus Theorien über die Entstehung der Moral normative Implikationen ergeben. This paper reconstructs Michael Tomasello's account of the evolution of morality and discusses it in the context of the philosophical debates on human nature and the concept of morality. The aim is to show that Tomasello presupposes a particular understanding of what morality is. He takes cooperation and fairness to be constitutive elements of human moral psychology and takes these to be dispositions that enable egalitarian interaction within a group. That these dispositions are what is central to the evolution of human morality is not justified through the causal-historical reconstruction that Tomasello offers. Moreover, his understanding of morality is not without alternatives. This is particularly problematic because accounts of the evolution of human features have normative implications.
