Abstract

Fortyfive phenylketonuric children with a phenylalanine-restricted diet were tested twice during an interval of 10—12 months. Psychological tests were the Columbia Mental Maturity Scale, Lincoln Oseretzky Scale, Vineland Social Maturity Scale and the Denver Developmental Screening Test. Statistical analysis showed psychological data to be a function of treatment, age at onset of treatment and quality of dietary control.
