Abstract
This document was originally intended to offer ethical guidance on involving the families of potential organ donors in the conversation about donation. However, following the English Department of Health’s decision to withdraw UKDEC’s funding, it became apparent that the committee would not have time to conduct a consultation on the draft guidelines. As a result, this document is published as a discussion paper.
