Abstract
The article reflects upon the problem what the question «how practical are the dogmas?» could mean regarding particularly conditions given in Swiss Reformed churches
of today. In the shape of a practical endavour it then presents an interpretation of the Apostolical Creed – between its lines. This practical exercise is followed by a reflection on its hermeneutical presuppositions and an additional interpretation of question 1 of The Heidelberg catechism.
