Abstract
«International standards have become an important element of today’s global fi- nancial market regulation. This paper examines the impact of international stan- dards on the Swiss financial market law. It identifies problem areas that might occur in implementing international standards into Swiss law and suggests possi- ble countermeasures. Such measures involve concepts to enhance the legitimacy of international standards, precise designation of the relevant international stan- dards in national legal enactments, creation of a FINMA regulatory board and extension of judicial protection in financial market law.»
